So I've been really bad about updating Maddy's blog over the last few weeks. We moved into our new house on July 26th (please email if you need the new address). We closed on both houses on July 29th. Maddy's 2 month doctor visit was July 31 (more details below). And I started back to work on Aug. 4th. Needless to say things have been busy...
Maddy's stats at her last appointment were: weight 12 lbs 5 oz, length 23 3/4 in. She is in teh 90th percentile in both categories. She's doing very well except that the 18 month old that stays with her during the day has come down with chicken pox. I understand that Maddy should be ok even though she was exposed, but we have a 14 to 21 day incubation period that we have to get through to be sure. She just gets more beautiful every day. She's just now getting to where she wants to hold things, usually something light weight that she can't knock herself in the head with. She's also smiling more, though the flash of the camera seems to make the smile go away before the picture gets taken. Once I find the camera cord I'll upload more pictures on here.
We really like the new house. The commute for both of us has not been bad, other than the rain I had to drive in yesterday. Our fence goes up in a few weeks so we can then have all 3 dogs here. We still have a lot of stuff to put away but I did learn how to use a power drill :)
Things coming up for us include Maddy's first day at official daycare on Sept. 2 and Russ and I play in a scramble on Sept. 5. Family is coming up next weekend along with Russ getting to see Bob Dylan.
