4 month update

Maddy went to the doctor yesterday and got her 4 month shots. She handled them really, really well. Russell and I both got to go with her to the doctor's office. She weighed 14 lbs 13 oz. She's over the 95th percentile now in height, 90th percentile in weight, and 75th percentile in head size. They also checked her throat, which looks much better now that she's completed her antibiotics for strep throat. It looks like she may have some allergy issues so she's allowed to have Benadryl as needed. We also get to start her on rice cereal and feeding her with a spoon once a day!

Our other big news is that she rolled over for the first time on Thursday night! She rolled from her stomach to her back. We practiced that a little bit and then she worked really hard to roll from her back to her stomach. She just kept grunting until she made it. It took a few trys before she made it all the way and got that arm out from underneath her. She just loves it now and rolls back and forth, or just arches her back as much as possible. We are just so proud of our little girl and the accomplishments she's already achieving. There's also a light spot on her bottom gum where it looks like a tooth is on its way.

She's definitely a baby that likes her routine. She's fine with going places during the day for the most part, but she doesn't like for you to mess with her evenings. She likes to take a good nap in the evening before she eats and then goes down for the night. Doing anything differently is just too much for her to handle because she wants to be awake and take it all in but she's tired. She will definitely let you know when she's not happy and has a very effective bottom lip :)

Now we are trying to decide what she will be for Halloween. We had decided on a bumblebee but Russ isn't as convinced now. I'll post pictures!

She should go as Sarah Palin! Just kidding! A bumble bee would "bee" too cute for words. Or maybe a kitty cat. Love to you all.
