Never a Dull Moment...

Maddy is just amazing! Our daughter is picking up on things so quickly. She trys to put on her shoes and trys to say "shoes". She's very good at throwing things away and helping clean up her toys. She's also trying to say "dog" when she see's our boys in the backyard. Her favorite word seems to be "Uh Oh" right now. She'll drop things just to have an excuse to say it. She had one of her regular checkups with the doctor a couple of weeks ago and everything looks good. She's over the 95th percentile on height and about average on her weight. Makes finding clothes a little tricky since her legs are so long. But her hair is now long enough that I can put it in a little ponytail... I love it! We've had a busy labor day.
Saturday was heartbreaking for Russ with OU's loss to BYU. All I'm saying is Go Pokes! It was sad though to see. We've also staying busy painting various rooms in our house. My goal was to get the house back to normal by the end of the weekend but that's not going to happen. Maddy's room is done though and is now a shade of green. Our living room and entry way are also a shade of green. The living room still needs some touch-ups and the entry way still needs a second coat, but we're making progress. It's taken us so long to decide on the colors that we're just ready to have it done. We also went shopping today and got Maddy a new stroller. We've been looking for a good umbrella stroller and finally bought one today.
Last weekend we were down at Beaver's Bend with my parents and brother. We had a great log cabin and were just able to relax a little bit. It's a long drive from here, but the hot tub was well worth it. Maddy enjoyed the train ride and playing with the rocks in the drive way. She's also got to play in the lake a little bit. Russ and I decided to take on a paddle boat, which turns out to be more work than I was prepared for. Russ was able to play golf with Alan while we were down there, and we got to hang out with Alan and his family on Sunday before we left. Maddy really liked playing peek-a-boo with Addy.
